Many supermarkets have collection points where you can donate food to a foodbank. Supermarkets form partnerships with foodbanks and associated organizations to distribute donations to those collection points to the foodbanks that may need it the most. Bear in mind that supermarkets require that the food you donate be from their stores or, alternatively be presented in a certain condition such as being wrapped or sealed.
