Foodbanks
Most foodbanks are branch locations of the Trussell Trust. These foodbanks require users to obtain a referral and vougher from an issuing authority. Details of these agencies can be obtained from the Citezens Advice Bureau.
Foodbank vouchers are required to obtain food from most foodbanks. These are issued by several organisations such a Local council, Housing Options, Social services, some community clinics, other NHS services, and some charitable organisations.
Independent Food Aid Network is an organisation that lists many independent foodbanks. A referral is not always required to obtain food from these foodbanks. Check with your local IFAN foodbank before departing
Independent foodbanks may be affiliated with organisations such as The Salvation Army or the NHS for example, or they'll be small independent foodbanks that have no affiliation. These foodbanks may or may not have a particular access requirements. Always check before departing
